UPSC Prelims 2021 – Syllabus
CSAT or Civil Services Aptitude Test, officially known as General Studies Paper-II,. was introduced in 2011 to test candidates’ analytical ability. It is the second paper in the UPSC Prelims.
The detailed UPSC Prelims CSAT(Paper-II) syllabus for 2021 Exam is given below:
- Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
- Decision-making and problem-solving.
- General mental ability.
- Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level)
- Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc. – Class X level).
- English language comprehension skills – Class X level.
The CSAT(Paper-II) exam pattern:
Number of questions: 80 Objective-Type questions (MCQ)
Time: 2 hours
Type of Exam: Offline exam
Date of CSAT exam: 27th June 2021
Language of CSAT exam paper: English/Hindi
Maximum Marks: 200
CSAT qualifying marks: 66 marks (33% qualifying criteria)
Negative Marking: Yes (1/3rd of the alloted marks for the question will be deducted for incorrect response.No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions)

The Odisha Civil Services Exam.2020-CSAT(Papaer-II)
Syllabus :
